
The Spring Creek County Historical Association, a non-profit organization administers the Tomball Museum Center. Meetings and special events are held throughout the year.
Membership in the Spring Creek County Historical Association brings the privilege of preserving local history and other advantages, as well. Members will receive our newsletter, voting privileges in organization proceedings and access to our research materials. Membership meetings include programs featuring guest speakers or presentations of a historical nature.
The Tomball Museum Center is open Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. and Thursday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. CLOSED HOLIDAYS. The Museum will also be closed on December 13th, 20th, 24th, 27th and 31st of 2009. We will also be closed January 3, 2010. Group tours may be arranged by calling (281) 255-2148. Donations are welcomed. Please note: Beginning October 1, 2009 the base fee for tours will be $3.00 per person and $4.00 per person for those who request tours outside scheduled hours.
During March or April every year we host a Heritage Tea honoring a special individual who makes a difference in our community. Our honoree for 2009 was Lessie Upchurch.
Join us for the Candlelight tours from 6:00 - 900 p.m. on Friday, December 11th and Saturday December 12th. This year's theme is "Christmas Past" and all buildings will be decorated for an old fashioned Christmas. Santa will be on hand as well as choirs, bands, wassail, cookies and a surprise or two. This special event is open to the public.
